Care Tips
To ensure that your brushes last a long time, we recommend cleaning and maintaining them regularly.
It is very important that the brushes:
Cleaning:
Remove Loose Hair
Start by removing any loose hair that may be on the brush. You can easily remove most of the hair using your fingers, which works quite well. Any remaining hair can be removed with a small brush cleaning comb or tweezers. For hair that is tangled, carefully cut it with scissors. You can also remove dead skin by gently tapping the brush on a hard surface. This routine should be done twice a week to keep the brush clean and avoid larger cleanings later.
Cleaning with Water and Mild Shampoo
Once a month, a more thorough cleaning is recommended. To do this, fill an appropriate container with lukewarm water and add a drop of mild Top Dog shampoo. Stir the water with your hands while moving the brush's bristles/pins back and forth in the water. The wooden body of the brush and the cushion should not come into contact with the water. This process for about 40 seconds is sufficient.
Drying the Brush
To dry the brush, gently shake it and pat it on a towel. Ideally, place the brushes on a cloth or towel with the bristles/pins facing down to dry. Please note that the brushes should not be placed on radiators or similar devices, as this could damage the brush!
If a UV sterilization lamp is available, the brushes can be placed there, but without additional heat and with the pins facing the lamp.
Proper handling of all brushes extends their lifespan.
